THE PASSWORD : ORIGIN AND INTERPRETATION

LA PALABRA DE PASE, ORIGEN E INTERPRETACIÓN

I)Como todos saben cuando ciertos nativos profanos procedentes del oriente peruano arriban a Lima, pronuncian fueves en lugar de jueves, porque sus dialectos tienen menos letras y sílabas en contraposición al español moderno que posee 28 letras, siendo muy fácil identificar a los nativos. Analógicamente, a la muerte de Galaad rey de Israel, su pueblo no encontró figura capaz de sustituirle. Disfrazados, una fracción de los vencidos intentó escapar inadvertidamente cruzando los vados resguardados del rio Jordan. Al enterarse Jefté que los eframitas no pronunciaban correctamente palabras que tuvieran S, decidió aniquilarlos valiéndose de un método sencillo. Sus tropas cubrieron todos los vados del Jordán con la consigna de solo dejar pasar a quienes pronunciaran cierta palabra hebrea: Schibboleth. Como los eframitas en lugar de decir Shalóm, Shiboletz, Shiloh, decían : Chalóm, Chibolets, Chiloh, fueron identificados y degollados junto a los vados del Jordán, muriendo cuarenta y dos mil. (Jueces II. Cap. 12 v. 6).

II)A veces nos preguntamos en nuestra Logia ¿donde está la espiga y la fuente de agua cercana?, que representan la palabra Schibboleth. Aunque no contamos con ellas físicamente, las identificamos fácilmente en los gráficos de los cuadros correspondientes, extraídos de escenas de la construcción del primer Templo de Jerusalem. Los AA:. y CC:. de esa época, entraban a pie por la entrada del S:. ascendían por la escalera de caracol que conducía a la C:. del M:. siendo detenidos por el 2 do Vigilante que les exigía la gripa y la palabra de pase (Schibboleth), del 1er al 2do grado. Se evitaba así que personas no suficientemente calificadas ascendieran por la escalera de caracol. Al ser pronunciada la palabra de pase el 2do vigilante les decía :Pasad. Ascendían por la escalera de caracol compuesta por 3 gradas (3 GG:.MM:. dirigieron y terminaron la construcción del primer Templo de Jerusalem), 5 gradas (ordenes de arquitectura : toscano, dórico, corintio, jónico y compuesto) y 7 gradas (número de HH:. que hacen regular a una logia). Cuando nuestros antiguos HH:. llegaban a la cumbre de la escalera de caracol el 1er Vigilante les pedía el signo y la palabra de C:. Tras esto pasaban a la C:. del M:. medio donde recibían sin escrúpulos sus salarios en especies o en dinero.

III) En la Masoneria Simbólica actual se continua empleando la palabra hebrea de pase : Schibboleth, silabeada posibilitando el ascenso del primer al segundo grado. Mientras en el primer Grado se deletrea el alfabeto en el segundo Grado se silabea la palabra de pase, que significa Espiga de Trigo, Corriente de Agua. Los granos de las espigas representan la mundialización de los masones que son tan numerosos como espigas de trigo. El trigo fue en la antigüedad una planta sagrada, indispensable para la vida humana, el producto mas nutritivo y vivificante producido por la naturaleza. Productiva y vivificante, semejante a la masonería, por su acción fructífera y emancipadora. Schibboleth es una palabra universalmente reconocida que caracteriza al Masón en el segundo grado. El vocablo espiga significa madurez del candidato, fecundidad y utilidad de sus esfuerzos, exigiendo ser tan unidos y numerosos cómo los granos de la espiga. Una espiga madura, es una hermosa representación de la vida humana. La palabra de pase resguarda los misterios de la Masonería de la intromisión de no iniciados, resguardando los principios que profesan sus miembros. Sin poseer regularmente la Palabra de Pase es imposible el ingreso a la Asamblea de Compañeros.

It is built in accordance with plans drawn by nature and dictates of reason keeping with the harmonious and symmetrical relations of different parts of the Great Work, used to find the beginning of all our rights, and the wisdom of our duties.

When studying geometry, we think on the triangle, the most perfect geometric figure, basis on any area measures, representing all spiritual forces capable of education and progress. An apron with a triangle on the flap, dropped on the square means that the spirit has penetrated the Matter dominating our passions and vices. With the triangle was formed the pyramid, the first measure of volume and with it the cube -the cubic stone- a perfect tip geometry. II-Another important aim during stay in Fellowcraft degree is be attuned to symbolism and the inner meaning of their application inside the ritual philosophical teachings of the Second Chamber. Here it is studied the origin, interpretation, meaning and application of emblems and allegories, to know the essence of human beings and things, knowledge of oneself and other men to know what is truly useful to humanity. If you are not properly educated nothing has value if it is only known words, touching, batteries, gears, signs. In this degree is exercised the Intelligence and Reason, to be good, to work with Justice and with the radical and Immutable Laws of Wise Nature. Our five senses are exercised advocating adequate moral and intellectual preparation. It's about seeing things as they are, in their innermost essence, seeing the vice and virtue through the truth. Reflecting on our conscience, direct or indirect cause of all thoughts on our minds, on our intelligence that penetrates into things knowing the true nature of the world, understand the meaning of free will because without it, Masonry would be meaningless.

III-Inside the Temple a Fellowcraft (who shares the bread) is the closest person to another Fellowcraft, building great affection, friendship and brotherhood with each and every one of their peers. OBJETO DEL GRADO DE COMPAÑERO

I)Uno de los objetivos durante la estancia en el Grado de Compañero es complementar la preparación de los HH:. en múltiples ciencias preparándolos para ingresar a la Tercera Cámara. Aquí se estudian Ciencias Naturales, Cosmología, Astronomía, Geografía, Geometría, Gramática, Aritmética, Arquitectura, Artes y en general las causas que originan y producen a todos los seres y cosas. Se aprende Arquitectura, arte real de donde proviene el Lenguaje Masónico y la Instrucción Simbólica, expresadas en Emblemas, Símbolos y Alegorías. El Compañero debe conocer los principios fundamentales de Geometría, Matemáticas y Trigonometría, indispensables para la Construcción de Obras Grandiosas; base del orden y principios Simbólicos, inspiradas a su vez en la solidez ordenada de columnas de la arquitectura antigua : Dórico, Jónico y Corintio, posibilitando trabajos masónicos (discursos o temas), fuertes, perfectos y duraderos. Se construye en conformidad con los Planos Trazados por la Naturaleza y los dictados de la Razón acorde con la relación armónica y simétrica que guardan entre sí, las distintas partes de esa Gran Obra Racional, que sirve para encontrar el principio de todos nuestros Derechos, así como la sabiduría de nuestros Deberes.

Cuando estudiamos Geometría, pensamos en el triángulo, la más perfecta figura geométrica, base de toda medida y unidad de medida de superficie, representando todas las fuerzas espirituales susceptibles de educación y Progreso. Un Mandil con un triángulo en la Solapa, caído sobre el Cuadrado expresa que el espíritu ha penetrado en la Materia dominando pasiones errores y vicios. Estas conquistas permitieron al hombre, a medir el Tiempo tomando como base los movimientos del Sol, deviniendo en agricultor, astrónomo, agrónomo, geógrafo, geólogo, químico, descubriendo y practicando todas las ciencias. Respecto a la Aritmética, los números con principios absolutos se aplicaron inicialmente a la música y estados en movimiento : astronomía, pirámides egipcias; pagodas chinas; templos hindúes y hasta en hechos sociales. Todas las cosas han sido hechas según las eternas proporciones de los números, base del orden universal que enlaza todas las cosas. El número 4 es el más perfecto de las figuras de la geometría plana, símbolo iniciático del movimiento y el infinito, que expresa Perfeccion, Dios, Origen de todo. 4 son los elementos: fuego, aire, agua y tierra, 4 son los puntos cardinales: norte, sur, este y oeste. 21 años de vida profana es la suma de los dígitos: 2 + 1= 3, edad del Aprendiz para ser iniciado en el grado de Compañero. En razón de su simbolismo, los números del grado de Compañero, son el 4 y el 5, el primero expresando la Perfección y el segundo representando al masón que posee el grado de Compañero. El estudio de las ciencias y las artes en este grado es lograr una mejor comprensión de Dios, elevar el Templo Espiritual de cada CC:. y mejorar la calidad de su ser.

II- Otro objetivo importante durante la estancia en el grado de Compañero es compenetrarse con el significado íntimo del Simbolismo y su aplicación dentro del Ritual de enseñanzas Filosóficas, Morales e Intelectuales de la Segunda Cámara. Se estudia el origen, interpretación, significado y aplicación de Símbolos, Emblemas y Alegorías, para conocer la esencia del ser humano y las cosas, el conocimiento de uno mismo y de los demás hombres para saber lo verdaderamente útil a la humanidad. Nada tiene valor si solo se conoce Palabras, Tocamientos, Baterías, Marchas, Signos… si no se está debidamente instruído. En este Grado, se ejercita la Inteligencia, la Razón, se practica el Bien, a obrar con Justicia y aplicar de modo práctico y radical las Leyes Inmutables de la Sabia Naturaleza. Se ejercitan nuestros cinco Sentidos propugnándose una adecuada preparación moral e intelectual. Se trata de ver las cosas como son, en su intima esencia, ver el vicio y la virtud mediante la verdad. Reflexionar sobre nuestra conciencia, causa directa o indirecta de todo pensamiento, sobre nuestra inteligencia que penetra al interior de las cosas conociendo la verdadera naturaleza del mundo, entender el significado del libre albedrio ya que sin él, la masonería carecería de sentido.

III- Al interior del Templo, el Compañero (el que comparte el pan), es la persona más cercana a otra, desarrollando gran cariño, amistad y fraternidad con todos y cada uno de sus pares. Hasta hace poco este grado había sido descuidado. Se le consideraba un grado de transición únicamente, siendo todo lo contrario porque en este grado se adquiere la mayoría de conocimientos de la Orden. Aca se intenta que el estudiante se convierta en modelo de Moralidad y Virtud, guíando a quien demande auxilio material o Intelectual. Aprende a emplear sus facultades de modo consciente, en provecho de sus semejantes, teniendo en cuenta que para enseñar hay que saber primero, a fin de no demostrar ignorancia. De su perseverancia, de su asimilación, de su capacidad intelectual, de su cariño a la Orden y de sus virtudes morales y sociales, están pendientes los Maestros para en su debido tiempo y gracias a sus merecimientos, elevarlo al siguiente nivel.

IV- Otro gran objetivo del grado de Compañero es borrar entre ellos el prejuicio de casta, distinción por color de piel, origen, opinión y nacionalidad. Aniquilar el fanatismo y superstición, extirpar los odios de raza y azotes de la guerra. Hacer crecer en él la idea de que la humanidad es una sola familia de hermanos, unidos por amor fraternal y trabajo. Respecto a la Religión, la masonería no confronta con ella, buscando mas bien semejanzas y propósitos comunes. La masonería adoptó sus grados observando las distintas categorías y rangos de autoridades de algunas religiones.
