SMALL LODGE, BIG LODGE

On July, 11th, 2010, we travelled to the Valley of Cañete-Peru, invited to participate of the 63 Anniversary of the foundation of the symbolic Lodge Alfonso Ugarte N0 45 of the Valley of Cañete (Peruvian coast/44 asl/144 km to the south of Lima). While we went to the signaled point, we observe part of Peruvian south coast in process of commercial and tourist transformation; full of modern spas some so rich as that of Asia (Coast/97,5 km to the south of Lima).

The county Lodge of Cañete (Rite of York), is small valued for the number of their inhabitants (160 000), estimate that by the way keeps inverse relationship with the immense unfolding of love, honor and ethics of their members wisely directed by his W:. M:. Félix Gilberto Sanchez G. The presence of high officials of the G:. L:. of Peru in Cañete supposed also to take an obligatory look to a small county lodge and to the effects of the momentary coalition of B:. B:. of lodges from Lima with those of a province. Recently, high officials of the G:. L:. of Lima detected deficiencies in ritual Masonic practices in some counties -especially in the Peruvian forest- during an inspection journey. Although in this opportunity in the Lodge of Cañete some imperfections were watched (batteries with reminiscences of Scottish Rite, incomplete due guard greeting), the deficiencies were almost nonexistent.

As to the interior of the G:. L:. of Peru pictures exist of almost all lodges of our country, it was already of our knowledge certain architectural differences among them. Obviously the biggest architectural lineage is exhibited in lodges of big Peruvian cities, highlighting that of Lima located in San Isidro, a very rich district. If we compare the architecture of the G:. L:. of Lima with that of England or France, the distances would be notorious with less quality for Lima. If Peruvian province lodges have architectural defects to correct, the G:. L:. of Lima also has its own : it is narrow, has few green areas, needing but functional and ecological spaces.

During the Celebration, was honored our flag, remembered the history of the Valley of Cañete and of the Lodge. Also was remembered the life of Bernardo O' Higgins who reside in Cañete until his death, after being expelled of his country. After that it was served a lunch-buffet in which typical plates prevailed (pig’s meat, chicken and plates with high content in carbohydrates). it was notorious the absence of dietetic plates, compensated partly with the presence of natural organic drink made with colored corn (chicha morada) and pisco of which Cañete is a great producer. Some assure that pisco sour -diffused in the current world- was born here. The province atmosphere of frank companionship finishes mating all, highlighting the respect and fraternal love of province freemasons for its peers of Lima.

LOGIA CHICA, LOGIA GRANDE

El 11 de Julio del 2010, viajamos al Valle de Cañete invitados a participar de la Tenida celebratoria del 63 aniversario de la fundación de la R:.L:.S:. Alfonso Ugarte No 45, del Valle de Cañete (Costa/44msnm/144 km al sur de Lima). Mientras nos dirigíamos al punto señalado, observamos parte de la costa sur peruana en franco proceso de transformación comercial y turístico ; enclave de balnearios modernos algunos tan ricos como el de Asia (Costa/97,5 km al sur de Lima).

La Logia de Cañete (Rito de York), es pequeña y provinciana valorada por el número de sus habitantes (160 000), estimación que por cierto guarda relación inversa con el inmenso despliegue de caballerosidad, pundonor, ética y amor de sus integrantes dirigidos sabiamente por el V:.M:. Felix Gilberto Sanchez G. La presencia de altos directivos de la G:.L:. del Perú en Cañete suponía asimismo echar una mirada obligatoria a la logia provinciana y a los efectos visibles de la fusión momentánea de sus integrantes con H:.H:. de las logias de Lima. Hace poco, altos directivos de la G:.L:.de Lima detectaron deficiencias en la práctica ritualista masónica en algunas provincias –especialmente en la selva peruana- durante un recorrido de inspección. Aunque en esta oportunidad en la Logia de Cañete se evidenciaron algunas imperfecciones (baterías con reminiscencias del Rito Escoces, saludo de entrada incompleto), las deficiencias -en si- fueron cuasi inexistentes.

Como al interior de la G:.L:. del Perú existen fotos de casi todas las logias del pais, ya eran de nuestro conocimiento ciertas diferencias arquitectónicas entre ellas. Obviamente la prosapia arquitectónica mayor se exhibe en logias de las grandes ciudades peruanas, destacando la de Lima ubicada en San Isidro, un distrito muy rico. Si comparasemos la arquitectura de la G:.L:. de Lima con sus similes de Inglaterra o Francia, las distancias serian notorias con desmedro nuestro. Si las logias provincianas peruanas tienen defectos arquitectónicos por corregir, la G:.L:. de Lima también tiene lo suyo: es estrecha, tiene pocas areas verdes, necesitándo mas espacios funcionales y ecologicos.

Durante la tenida se honro nuestra bandera, se recordó la historia del Valle de Cañete y de la Logia, recordándose a Bernardo O’ Higgins quien radicó en este valle hasta su muerte, tras ser expulsado de su país. Despues de la tenida se sirvió un almuerzo-buffet en el que predominaron platos típicos (carne de chancho, pollo, res y platos con alto contenido en carbohidratos). Fué notoria la ausencia de platos dietéticos, compensada en parte con la disposición de bebida organica natural hecha a base de maíz coloreado (chicha morada) y el infaltable pisco del que Cañete es gran productor. Algunos aseguran que aquí nació el pisco sour tan difundido en el mundo actual. El ambiente provinciano de franca camaraderia terminó hermanando a todos destacando el respeto de los masones provincianos por sus pares de Lima.
